Cravens may end up staying with the Redskins, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports. "We're not trading [Cravens]," coach Jay Gruden said. "I just saw that on the ticker. RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
Cravens, the Redskins’ second-round draft pick in 2016, possesses natural football ability and it showed at USC, where he recorded 86 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two interceptions in 2015. The problem for Washington will be figuring out where he can play, as he worked as both a safety and linebacker in his time at USC. It will likely take a while for the Redskins to determine Cravens’ role in defensive coordinator Joe Barry’s 3-4 scheme, which might hurt his fantasy value this coming season. Right now, Cravens is listed as a backup weakside linebacker to both Ryan Kerrigan and Preston Smith.
