RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards posted three receptions for 44 yards and added three punt returns for 31 yards in Sunday's 25-21 Eastern Final win over the Roughriders.

Edwards had a modest role in the passing game with Anthony Coombs and James Wilder combining for 17 receptions, but he was able to make some important contributions as a punt returner. The veteran ripped off a season-long 19-yard runback and also notched a key 17-yard reception that brought the Argonauts to a yard shy of the goal line with 43 seconds remaining. That grab set up a go-ahead one-yard Cody Fajardo dive that would prove to be the decisive score. Edwards enjoyed a breakout regular season (83 receptions, 962 yards, four touchdowns) and figures to play an important role in Toronto's efforts to secure a Grey Cup victory over the Stampeders.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards totaled five receptions for 51 yards in Saturday's 40-13 win over the Lions.

Edwards once again played his role of dependable possession receiver to perfection, drawing even with S.J. Green for second on the Argos in catches on the night. The 29-year-old was perhaps Ricky Ray's favorite target in the intermediate passing game this season, compiling 83 catches for 962 yards (11.6 YPC) and four touchdowns over 17 games. He projects to continue fulfilling the same duties in the postseason, making him an appealing DFS cash game option in playoff contests.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards posted six catches for 40 yards in Saturday's 29-28 win over the Blue Bombers.

The 29-year-old has seen a high target volume the last two weeks and parlayed it into 14 receptions for 135 yards. Edwards is averaging a modest 11.7 yards per catch, but he's up to a solid 78-911-4 line over 16 games this season. He'll look to produce his first 1,000-yard CFL campaign in Week 20 against the Lions following a Week 19 bye.

October 15, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards caught eight passes for 95 yards in Saturday's 30-27 loss to Edmonton.

It was his best performance since he caught 10 passes for 131 yards and a TD back in Week 2. With two games left on the Argos' schedule and 871 receiving yards on his ledger, Edwards will need another big performance or two if he's going to top 1,000 yards in his first full season in the CFL.

September 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards tallied three catches for 46 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 43-35 overtime win against the Tiger-Cats. He also returned two punts for 12 yards.

Edwards hauled in the first of QB Ricky Ray's three touchdowns, a 15-yard score in the second quarter that erased an early 10-7 deficit. The 29-year-old has crossed the goal line twice in the last three games, although he hasn't exceeded 66 yards receiving since way back in Week 6. Despite the lack of explosive outings, Edwards does boast a relatively safe fantasy floor and will look to keep his solid season going versus the Roughriders in Week 16.

September 24, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards posted six receptions for 54 yards in Saturday's 33-19 win over the Alouettes.

Edwards shared the team lead in catches with James Wilder, Jr. and posted his third straight game with at least five receptions in the process. Although he's averaging a modest 11.7 yards per reception, Edwards continues to serve as one of Ricky Ray's most trusted targets in the short-to-intermediate passing attack. He'll look to continue producing versus the Tiger-Cats in Week 15.

September 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards totaled five receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 34-26 win over the Eskimos.

Edwards brought in a perfect throw from Ricky Ray in the right corner of the end zone early in the second quarter for his third score of the season. He also made an acrobatic 34-yard grab down the left sideline in the third quarter to get the Argos out of the shadow of their own end zone. The 29-year-old has maintained a modest yet consistent role in the Toronto passing attack, posting at least five receptions in five of the last seven games, even while averaging 12.0 yards per reception on the season. Edwards will look to continue producing against the Alouettes in Week 14.

September 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards caught six passes for 66 yards in Monday's 24-22 loss to the Tiger-Cats.

It's his best single-game yardage total since Week 6. Edwards remains a secondary target in the Argos offense, but the 29-year-old still has a shot at his first 1000-yard season in the CFL at his current pace.

August 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards notched six receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 38-6 win over the Als.

Edwards finally got back in the end zone after last having crossed the goal line back in Week 2 for his only other touchdown on the season. The 29-year-old's production has been somewhat inconsistent, although he's posted at least three catches in all but two games this season. Edwards' role as a solid second wideout in the Argos' prolific passing attack does give him fantasy upside each week, and he could see an enhanced role in a potential Week 10 shootout against the Stamps.

August 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (undisclosed) will return to action Friday against the Alouettes.

Edwards sat out last week's game for an unspecified reason, but it appears his setback was only minor, as he is back in the starting lineup for Week 8. He has already racked up 428 yards in six games this season, but his output could be affected this week with Jeff Mathews starting under center in place of the injured Ricky Ray (shoulder).

August 2, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (undisclosed) will miss Thursday's contest against Calgary, Don Landry of the CFL reports.

Although there was no reason given for his missing the contest, it seems like an undisclosed injury is what will keep him sidelined. Edwards has been a strong contributor this season, so Toronto could use him back on the field as soon as possible.

July 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards caught five passes for a team-high 81 yards in Monday's 27-24 win over the Redblacks.

The 29-year-old continues to be a dangerous deep threat for Ricky Ray, but with the team's offensive scheme doing a good job of spreading the ball around -- nine different Argos caught passes Monday -- Edwards' game-to-game numbers have fluctuated wildly this season.

July 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards totaled 24 yards on two receptions, 25 yards on four punt returns and 42 yards on three kickoff returns in Saturday's 26-25 win over the Redblacks.

Edwards exploded for 10 receptions for 131 yards in Week 2, but it was S.J. Green's time to shine through the air in Week 3. However, the 29-year-old was still able to make a positive impact in the victory due to his multiple roles. It will be challenging to hone in on who quarterback Ricky Ray's favorite target will be each week in head coach Marc Trestman's pass-happy attack, but if Edwards continues to garner return opportunities, it should help keep his fantasy floor fairly high.

June 30, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards caught 10 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 28-15 loss to the Lions.

The 29-year-old already has 16 catches through two games this season, and Edwards looks like he's going to be a big weapon for Ricky Ray in Marc Trestman's explosive offense. A fluky hand injury cut short his rookie CFL season last year, but if he stays healthy he should easily be able to reach the 1,000-yard mark.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards totaled 78 yards on six receptions in Sunday's 32-15 win over Hamilton.

While overshadowed by the trio of 100-yard efforts turned in by teammates DeVier Posey, S.J. Green and Jeff Fuller, Edwards had an impressive day in his own right. His six receptions were second on the team behind Posey and Green, and he served as one of Ricky Ray's more consistent options in the intermediate passing game. Edwards got his CFL career off to a solid start in five games with the Riders last season, totaling 231 yards and a touchdown on 19 receptions over four games. He appears to already have a strong rapport with Ray if Sunday is any indication, keeping his fantasy prospects solid as he heads into a Week 2 tilt against the Lions.

June 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards is listed as a starting slotback for Sunday's game against the Tiger-Cats.

Edwards showed good potential over a brief stretch with the Roughriders last season, and it appears he will get a chance to play a more prominent role this year for his new squad in Toronto.

June 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (hand) caught three passes for 28 yards in the Argonauts' preseason opener.

Edwards' 2016 season was cut short by a hand injury, but he is healthy and competing for snaps heading into the 2017 campaign.

May 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards was traded to the Argonauts in exchange for offensive lineman Peter Dyakowski.

After playing only three games for the Saskatchewan in 2016, where he hauled in 19 receptions for 231 yards and a touchdown, Edwards will have a fresh start in Toronto. Edwards will have a chance to prove himself on June 8 for a preseason game against Montreal, where he'll link up with quarterback Ricky Ray for the first time. Ray had a strong season last season, throwing for 2,397 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Still, Edwards will have to prove he's worthy of a full-time position on a Toronto team that struggled in 2016.

October 9, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards will miss the rest of the season with a hand injury, Roughriders play-by-play announcer Rod Pederson reports.

It's a tough blow for the Roughriders, who have just four games left on the regular season schedule. Edwards will finish the year with 19 receptions for 231 yards and a touchdown, but should be healthy by the start of the 2017-18 season.

October 8, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards caught eight passes for 83 yards in Friday's overtime win over the Redblacks.

The CFL rookie has made a splash since getting healthy, racking up 19 catches for 231 yards and a touchdown over the last three games. With Naaman Rossevelt (lower leg) on IR, Edwards should be the Roughriders' top receiving option going forward.

September 25, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards gained 88 yards and scored a touchdown on seven catches in Saturday's 20-18 victory over the Ti-Cats.

The former Carolina Panther has made his presence felt over the last two weeks, totaling 13 receptions for 148 yards over that span. Saturday's spectacular touchdown reception was his first of the season after he tallied a rushing score in Week 13 versus the Eskimos.

September 19, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards caught a team-high six passes for 60 yards while adding a five-yard TD run in Sunday's win over the Eskimos.

After being used primarily on special teams in his CFL debut last week, Edwards got involved on offense Sunday and make an immediate impact. The 2-10 Roughriders don't really have much to lose by continuing to get the ball in his hands and seeing what he can do, so Edwards could have some surprising value to close out the season.

September 10, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards is listed as a reserve slotback on the depth chart for Saturday's game against the Blue Bombers.

Edwards has not appeared in a game yet this season, but he will have a chance to do so in Week 12.

September 6, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (undisclosed) has been activated from the six-game injured list and assigned to the Roughriders' practice squad.

Edwards landed on the six-game injured list in late July, but he is ready to resume playing. While he has recovered from whatever ailment he was dealing with, he will have to be added to the Roughriders' active roster before he plays again.

July 28, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (undisclosed) was put on the six-game injured list on Thursday.

After missing the past two games the Roughriders decided that Edwards undisclosed injury may keep him on the sidelines for longer than they expected. The wideout will have to be activated from the six-game list before he can return to practice.

July 21, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards (undisclosed) remains on the one-game injured list for Friday's matchup with the Redblacks.

Edwards is not on the depth chart for the second straight week, and the team revealed that he remains on the injured list. The duel-threat wideout has yet to log a single snap for the Roughriders this season.

July 15, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards is not on the depth chart for this week's game against the Lions.

Edwards remains on the Roughriders' roster, but he will not take the field in Week 4.

July 7, 2016

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Edwards is listed on the depth chart for Friday's game against the Eskimos.

Edwards does not have a prominent spot on the depth chart, as he is not listed among the Roughriders' top three slotbacks, but he will suit up after not doing so last week.
